I thought it would be fun to do a little something different to day and show off my Home Office. So here it is! A little behind the scenes of where According to Blaire Posts come to life. I’m not up here 100% of the time but it is nice to have a spot in the house to get away and be able to focus on blog posts. Most of the stuff here was all pulled together from different rooms in our previous house. One of my favorite pieces is the gold etagere with glass shelves, which was actually a hand me down from Jason’s Grandma. It was black with gold details and look really old but not in a good way. I took a chance and pulled off all the gold attachments, sanded it and goo-goned it the best I could, and spray painted it a mix of metallic golds. I love how it turned out!

These pretty curtains were here when we moved in, and the teal rug was pulled from Blaire’s old room. My desk was my husbands old work desk, so pretty much all of my office was a hand me down in some way. I needed a place to keep track of all of my collaboration items, and clothes I want to post, so I really wanted a garment rack and it’s made everything so much easier to find and less wrinkly too 🙂 The mirror is where I’ll take outfit selfies from time to time, and it also offers a more open feeling to the room. I love mirrors for that reason the most!

One little trick I learned from my new blogger bestie, Stephanie of Drunk on Vogue, is to use marble contact paper (or any contact paper) when shooting flat lays! I keep a roll in my office for the occasional flat lay – like the one above with the planner & phone case. And unless I told you, you’d probably never know it wasn’t my desk! Thanks Steph!

I tried to share similar items of where to find everything, but if you have any specific questions about anything please let me know! My office didn’t used to be this clean and organized – but by finding a place for everything & utilizing my planner to make schedule out what I need done and when, has made a huge difference!

Feel free to let me know if there are any other rooms in the house you’d like to see and I may be able to incorporate that into a future post! Thanks & have a fabulous Wednesday!

So, I’m pretty sure I just pinned this entire post. LOVE your office. I need to get some marble contact paper- that’s a great tip. And I LOVE that mirror. I want a large one like that for selfies, too:)
