Summer Bump Friendly Outfit Perfect White Tee (only $25!) // Ruffle Split Leg Pants // See by Chloe Wedges // Zac by Zac Posen Bag // Baublebar Necklace // Free People Sunglasses // Gold Hoop Earrings // Pink & Blue Co Bracelets
Y’all I gotta be honest with you.. I was totally dreading being so pregnant in the middle of the summer. I thought nothing would fit, I’d be miserable, and I’d just hide inside all summer long. But, the truth is, I’m actually having so much fun with it! Even though it has been hotter than heck here in Virginia, I’m sticking to easy lightweight fabrics, lighter colors, and am actually loving my summertime bump!
Whether you’re pregnant or not, a basic white tee is a must and this one is just that! It is so incredibly soft, perfectly loose, and not too low cut. I was even able to tie it just a bit under the bump for a really cute effect. I promise its the best $25 t-shirt you’ll ever buy! I sized up one to a small for a little more room.
Ok now, on to these amazing pants! I’m seriously obsessed with them and I did get a ton of questions on instagram about sizing so here is my advice! So – the sizing is really weird for elastic waistband pants, they start at 00 and go up like regular jean sizes. It kind of threw me off when ordering, but I just stuck to my normal pregnancy bottom routine and ordered a size bigger than I normally would for my bump and got the 0. They seriously fit like a charm and because of the elastic waistband I think they’ll fit me through the end of my pregnancy and even afterwards too. So – I guess just order your normal size! Also – I am 5’2″ so the pants are more full length on me in the back, where on the model are more of a cropped look, so keep that in mind when ordering! I think they also have a tall option available if you are tall and do want a more cropped look.
If you have any other questions let me know! I have been asked a few times why I don’t wear a lot of maternity clothes, and here is my answer. I am short and pretty petite normally. I have always struggled to find clothes that fit me properly, and being pregnant makes it even harder. Three pregnancies in and I’ve really found that just wearing things I would normally wear and just sizing up a size or two has really worked for me. Often times maternity clothes come in only Small, Medium and Large, which is just too big of a range for me and either make me look bigger than I am or just aren’t my style. There are some good maternity brands out there though, however that’s just what I normally do!
